Award ceremony held
.jpg) Award ceremony of the Best football player and the goalkeeper of National teams has been held by AFFA at Landmark Rotunda Hall today. As you know, SOCCAR and Azercell are partners of the project; “Idman Azərbaycan” TV channel, “Futbol dunyasi” newspaper, apasport and azerisport agencies are information sponsors of the project. Nasib Nur, a host of a ceremony, has addressed the event and given a detailed account of the AFFA’s activity directed on development of football in the country. Then a video clip on Euro-2008, prepared by UEFA has been shown. As the first the floor was given to AFFA General Secretary Elkhan Mammadov: « Dear participants of ceremony! I welcome you and I express my gratitude you have found time to come on our event. During the year 2009AFFA has launched a number of projects directed on development of football in the country. Azerbaijan National team has won for the first time on away match and also played a drawn game against such strong team as a Russian National team. This ceremony as is a novelty in history of Azerbaijan football. For the first time AFFA organized a survey on the best football player and the goalkeeper of National teams. The survey held among the Premier League clubs head coaches and captains. As all of you know, football is a team sport and each member of a team does his best for the victory. I think a winner will be not only the football player who has got the maximum number of votes but all players of the team. I thank all participants of survey. I congratulate all winners on my behalf and as on behalf of all football public and I wish every success them during the forthcoming matches».
Then Chingiz Huseynzada, a vice-president of National Olympic Committee and a deputy minister of Youth and Sports Ismayil Ismayilov spoke.
Award ceremony began after the invitation of Azerbaijan national teams’ football players to the hall.
At first they announced a name of the best football player of Azerbaijan Women’s National team. Anna Ataeva became has won. The prize of the best football player was presented by the vice-president of NOC of Azerbaijan Chingiz Huseynzada.
The best Futsal player – Rizvan FArzaliyev – was awarded by Alakbar Mammadov, a member AFFA Executive Committee.
The best player of beach soccer became Alvin Guliyev. AFFA General Secretary Elkhan Mammadov awarded him.
Finally, it was named the best player and the goalkeeper of Azerbaijan National team. Vagif Javadov named the best playe; Kamram Aghayev is announced the best goalkeeper. AFFA vice-president Elshad NAsirov awarded V.Javadov; Iskandar Javadov, a veteran of football, the president of Regional Football Federation, a member of AFFA Executive Committee presented a prize to K.Aghayev.
Representative of Azercell Ulviyya Hasanzada has congratulated the winners and presented them a presents from Azercell - a watch.
At the end of the ceremony football players-winners and participants of the award ceremony were photographed.
