The “Girls Futsal Cup” tournament was held among under 13 schoolgirls in Ismayilli on April 18 and 19.
105 students from 12 schools took part in the competition held in the gym of Ivanovka village secondary school named after H.Aliyev. On the first day of the tournament, there were played 12 matches within the group stage. The play-off matches and finals were organized on the next day. Players were presented balls and sport jackets in the tournament held by the support of UEFA and AFFA. The teams taken the first three places were awarded with diplomas, medals and the winner was presented a cup. The secondary school No.3 named after E.Mammadov took the third, and Topchu village secondary school the second places. The secondary school No.2 named after A.Aslanov became the winner of the tournament. Sabina Mursalzada (the secondary school No.2) was chosen the best player of the competition.
Note, the main aim of the project is to form women’s futsal national team and women’s futsal league in the future. The "Girls Futsal Cup” project was previously implemented in Guba, Mingachevir, Balakan, Lankaran, Gakh and Ganja.
