The national team met Iran at Coliseo Ivan de Bedout Sport Complex in Medellin, Columbia. The match ended in a 3:3 draw. Everton Cardoso made a double and Teles Martin Tiago scored a goal for Azerbaijan.
Remind, Azerbaijan won the first game against Morocco in 5:0, and lost the second match against Spain in 2:4.
So, the national team finished the group stage with 4 points in the 2nd place and qualified for 1/8 finals. Azerbaijan will meet Thailand at Coliseo Ivan de Bedout Sport Complex in Medellin at 17:30 on 22 September on local time (at 02:30 on 23 September on Baku time).
