The final round of “Coca-Cola School Cup” tournament which is the joint project of AFFA, Ministry of Education and Coca-Cola Company, has been finished.
Suraxhani region school № 141 and Garadagh region school № 106 teams met in the final game. The school № 141 beat its opponent in 7:3 and became the winner of the “Coca-Cola School Cup” tournament’s 2016/2017 season.
An awarding ceremony was held after the final. Deputy Minister of Education, AFFA Executive Committee member Firudin Gurbanov, General Director of “Azerbaijan Coca-Cola Bottlers” Company Erdinj Guzel and AFFA General Secretary Elkhan Mammadov presented the awards.
The captain of the team of Surakhani region school № 141 Nijat Guliyev was awarded as the best player of the tournament. Huseyn Guliyev, the student of the same school, was chosen the top scorer of the competition with his 11 goals. The Fair Play award was presented to Laman Hasandaza, the player of the team of Garadagh region school № 106.
The third place winner Ganja city school № 24, the second place Garadagh region school № 106, and the champion of the tournament Surakhani region school № 141 were rewarded with bronze, silver and gold medals respectively.
The Deputy Minister of Education Firudin Gurbanov presented the Cup to the champion team.
