The promotion ceremony of the movie “26th minute” prepared by CBC Sport TV channel was held at Baku Olympic Stadium conference hall. The movie was devoted to the victory of Azerbaijan national team against Switzerland (1:0) in the 1996 World Championship qualifying round.
Head Director of CBC Sport Volkan Ust welcomed the participants and invited the movie’s creative crew to the scene. Project leader of the movie “26th minute” devoted to 20th year of the victory, various international festivals laureate Azar Javad Aliyev and author Vafa Aghabalayeva talked about producing the movie.
AFFA General Secretary Elkhan Mammadov, AFFA Former President Fuad Musayev, head coach of the national team in Azerbaijan – Switzerland game Kazbek Tuayev, veteran players Tarlan Ahmadov, Yunis Huseynov, Vidadi Rzayev, Arif Asadov, Samir Alakbarov, Igor Getman, sport community members and press representatives took part in the event.
Elkhan Mammadov, Fuad Musayev, Kazbek Tuayev and veteran players shared their impressions after the promotion of the movie.
Elkhan Mammadov presented AFFA gifts – the clocks with writing “August 31, 1996, 19:26” to the national team members, coaches and officials of that period.
