Football lessons at school General information about the project   Recently decisive steps are taken to develop and popularize football in the country. The purpose is not only to train and educate good football-player but to turn Football into the part of life, to arouse young people interest in Football, to create favorable conditions for youth to play football during their leisure-time, to unhook them from pernicious habits. The construction of artificial-turf pitches is one of the main activities aimed at the development of youth football. AFFA has constructed number of artificial-turf pitches in Baku and in the regions; kids, teenagers and young people can use them for free. And it, in the first place, creates necessary conditions for kids and teenagers to play football in the streets. In addition to that artificial-turf pitches are constructed at the schools and pupils studies at these schools can play football on these pitches. In accordance with the State programme for the development of football in Azerbaijan from 2005 to 2015, signed by the president of the republic, Ilham Aliyev, and with the agreement signed by AFFA and Ministry of Education, a “Football lessons at school” project has started.
