VAR (video assistant referee) project manager Elkhan Samadov, AFFA Referees Committee Chairman Fritz Stuchlik and CBC Sport TV Director General Volkan Ust visited Istanbul, Turkey last week.
The purpose of the visit was to get information about the features of the VAR system applied by TFF, to prepare for the works to be done in terms of using this system in our country. During the meeting, a detailed discussion was held on the application of the VAR system in the Azerbaijan Premier League, taking into account the experience of the Turkish Super League in the framework of mutual cooperation between AFFA and TFF.
It should be noted that online meetings with FIFA would be held in the next two weeks in connection with the works to be done in the field of application of VAR in Azerbaijan.
