As reported, during the quarantine period several football veterans over the age of 65 were provided with necessary daily necessities twice a week by AFFA, following the relevant decisions of the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic.
The aid was delivered through Euro 2020 volunteers. AFFA Executive Vice President Elkhan Mammadov spoke to the volunteers who took part in the campaign to help football veterans via video conference and thanked them on behalf of the AFFA management for their active participation. Mammadov noted that 2020 was declared as the "Year of Volunteers" by the order of the President of our country, and the participation of young people in this process and their contribution to the AFFA aid campaign as volunteers is commendable.
Each volunteer who participated in the aid campaign was awarded a certificate, and it was stated during the video conference that these certificates will be delivered to the volunteers in the coming days.
