A seminar for local tourism companies was organized on January 24 at the Baku Olympic Stadium in collaboration with the Azerbaijan Tourism Bureau and the Operating Group for Euro 2020 Games in Baku.
The seminar was attended by about 40 representatives of tourism companies. The purpose of the event was to inform local travel agencies about the preparations for the 3 matches and 1/4 final round of Euro 2020 to be held in Baku (Wales - Switzerland, Turkey - Wales, Switzerland - Turkey), and to discuss the possible cooperation and support in terms of attracting tourists to Azerbaijan.
Representatives of the Local Operations Group made presentations on the fan-zone, ticket sales, transportation, Baku Olympic Stadium, which will host the games, and general preparations.
Representatives of the Azerbaijan Tourism Bureau also informed the participants about the readiness of tourism infrastructure for the matches. At the end of the workshop, participants" questions were replied, the presentation of the official mascot of the Euro 2020 Games - Skillzy was demonstrated, and a special tour was organized for the guests at the Baku Olympic Stadium.
