AFFA appeals to UEFA members: #STOPCHILDMURDER

AFFA published on: 01.10.2020 print
The Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan has sent a letter to 53 of the 55 national associations that are members of UEFA in connection with the death of Shahriyar Gurbanov as a result of the shelling of our settlements by the Armenian armed forces since September 27, who was born in 2007 in Naftalan and played for UGIM (Naftalan) in the league organized by AFFA. It was noted in the appeal that the death of 13-year-old Shahriyar deeply shook the football family. This issue worries not only us, but the football community as a whole; children who are taking their first steps in life should not be the target of wars. In these difficult times, we call on the European football family to condemn the aggression against civilians, especially the involvement of minors in military operations in one way or another, and to show solidarity by using the hashtag #stopchildmurder (end to child murder).
