At a meeting of the UEFA Executive Committee on March 17 this year, it was decided to hold the EURO 2020 tournament in 2021 in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan has already officially informed UEFA of its agreement to hold 4 relevant matches of EURO 2020 at the Baku Olympic Stadium in 2021. Additional relevant legal documents will be sent to UEFA by April 30. It should be noted that 3 matches of Group A of EURO 2020 and 1 match of the 1/4 final round will be held at the Baku Olympic Stadium. The national teams of Turkey, Switzerland and Wales will compete in Group A matches to be held in Baku.
