Taking into account the special quarantine regime, the opinions of the members of the AFFA Executive Committee on the First Division, Youth League, and other issues were studied by telephone today.
After extensive discussions, the following decisions were made by a majority of votes:
1. Taking into account the fact that the clubs playing in the First Division represent different regions, the need to hold games in the evenings due to the summer season and the infrastructure (lighting system) in some stadiums does not meet the relevant requirements, the discussions with the participating clubs, the season in the First Division should be suspended, and the winner to be declared according to the current tournament list.
2. The season should be suspended, taking into account the infrastructure factors due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in the stadiums where the postponed games in the Youth League were held, and the winner should be declared according to the current tournament list.
3. To approve 5 substitutions per game in the Premier League and Azerbaijan Cup (following the new rules applied by FIFA).
4. 48 hours before the resumption of Premier League matches, the coaches and players of the clubs must pass the COVID-19 test.
Note: Issues related to the Premier League, First Division, and Youth League were also discussed with the relevant clubs and the clubs expressed a positive attitude.
