Decisions of the UEFA Executive Committee

UEFA published on: 23.02.2021 print
The UEFA Executive Committee has decided to cancel the 2020/2021 season of the U-19 women's and men's football championships, taking into account the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the organization of tournaments.
Decisions of the UEFA Executive Committee
The decision said that after discussions with member countries of the UEFA Executive Committee, it is difficult to protect the health and safety of young athletes at the moment, as well as the travel of teams and the holding of mini-tournaments due to a number of restrictions.

UEFA has also decided to transfer the finals of the 2020/2021 Futsal Champions League from Belarus to Croatia, taking into account the epidemiological situation in Belarus and the existing travel restrictions in the country. The final round of the UEFA Futsal Champions League will be held in Zagreb from April 28 to May 3.

Another decision of the UEFA Executive Committee is related to the replacement. The decision states that a new player will be able to replace a player who suffered a concussion during the game, regardless of the number of substitutions. The new decision will be tested for the first time in the finals of the European Championship, which will be held in Hungary and Slovenia (2019-2021) among U-21 teams.
