The head coach of Azerbaijan women’s national team Siyasat Asgarov shared his opinions about the Montenegro vs Azerbaijan match held within the FIFA Women’s World Cup Qualifying round:
“We played two different parts. We made a mistake at the beginning of the first half and the opponent took advantage of this mistake and scored a goal. After the goal, we started concentrating and tried to score a goal. Unfortunately, we couldn’t achieve it. In the second half, we made some changes in the system and began to keep down the opponent on the field so that they could not get out of defense. We started the second half very well, we had a chance to score. But we could not use these chances. The team was pushed forward not to lose, but, unfortunately, the opponent scored the second goal.
There was no such defeat in the plan, we came here to get points”.
