SportEnt  - the project aiming to provide dual career opportunities to athletes funded by the Erasmus+ program of European Union.

The project with the participation of AFFA received a grant from the European Union
Football Association of Slovenia, Football Federation of Macedonia, FIBA, TDM 2000 International (Italy), Caceres Chamber of Commerce – CCC (Spain), and the Foundation for Entrepreneurial Participation (TFEP) (UK) are other participants of the project.
A career in elite sport usually is short and time-consuming. Too many athletes reach the end of their sporting careers unprepared for a career transition.
The aim of the project to create a set of TRAINING  & SUPPORT MATERIALS for granting real opportunities to individuals engaged in sport (18-30 years old) to enhance their ‘employability pathway’ by developing their entrepreneurial skills and competences. This will be achieved by harnessing the complementary and overlapping dimensions of entrepreneurship and sport thereby enhancing their opportunities for a dual career. The sport of football will be used as the ‘methodological template’ for other sports to adapt and implement.
As first step surveys are conducted among players about their career after football. The detailed information about the project can be found on the website www.sportent.org
As earlier communicated the joint declaration for investments in sport signed among UEFA and the European Commission creates opportunities for European and non-European National Associations to get access to direct funding and investment projects.
