In accordance with the relevant protocols, the initial process for the introduction of the Azerbaijan VAR (video-assistant referee) system has been launched. In the coming days, a meeting will be held with FIFA in a video conference format to discuss the current situation, as well as the work to be done.
It should be noted that the decision on launching a preparatory and research phase for the introduction of the VAR system was made by AFFA Executive Committee, but the process was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
