The Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Education, Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation and the Azerbaijan Student Football Federation Public Union have organized a futsal tournament dedicated to Victory Day among students of high and secondary schools.
Baku State University beat Ganja State University in the match played for the third place. Azerbaijan State Academy of Physical Education and Sport (ASAPES) and Azerbaijan State Economic University (UNEC) faced in the final game. The full time of the match ended in a 2:2 draw. There was no goal in the extra times too, so the winner was determined by penalty shootouts. UNEC team became the winner of the tournament with their accurate shootouts (3:2).
The awarding ceremony was attended by the AFFA Executive Committee members Firudin Gurbanov, Isgandar Javadov, Farid Mansurov, ASAPES Rector Fuad Hajiyev, the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation Deputy Chairman Javanshir Alkhasov, Azerbaijan national team coach Arif Asadov, as well former players Novruz Azimov, Farrukh Ismayilov.
The AFFA Executive Committee member, Deputy Minister of Education, President of the Azerbaijan Student Football Federation Public Union Firudin Gurbanov presented the Cup to the winner team.
