Ilham Yadullayev, the head coach of the Azerbaijan Under-17 national team, shared his thoughts on the upcoming matches in the European Championship qualifying round in a statement to the AFFA.az website.
"From November 4 to 8, we held a productive training camp in Gabala. The boys, both from the domestic league and those playing abroad, are in good shape. Currently, we are focused on our first game against the Hungarian national team, which we have analyzed in detail. The Hungary national team is strong, having emerged from Pot A during the draw. Nonetheless, we aim to achieve a successful result in this opening match."
The head coach emphasized their determination to win every game: "We have also analyzed the teams of Greece and Romania. We will make an effort to watch their matches live and keep the players informed. Our goal is to perform as well as possible and to strive for victory in all three matches. Every point counts in a tournament like this."
It is important to note that Azerbaijan, which is in Group 6 of the European Championship qualifying round, will face Hungary on November 13, Greece on November 16, and Romania on November 19. All group matches will take place in Bucharest, the capital of Romania.
