Zafar mini-football League organized by AFFA with the joint support of the Union of Azerbaijan Voluntary Organizations and Azerbaijan Youth Foundation, and held within the UEFA HatTrick Programme among volunteers, students and youth organizations, has concluded.
24 teams competed in the tournament. The team of volunteers from the Ministry of Emergency Situations faced the team of volunteers from Baku State University in the final match. The volunteers from the Ministry of Emergency Situations won the decisive match and became the champions of the tournament. The volunteers from Baku State University won silver medals as well the volunteers from AIESEC collected bronze medals.
Following the final match, the winners of the individual nominations for the tournament were also named. Ali Ibrahimov, a member of the MES volunteer team, was awarded Best Goalkeeper, Mugdat Ibrahimli, a member of the BSU volunteer team, was named Best Player while Jafar Jafarli, a member of the AFFA volunteer team, was selected Top Scorer.
At the end, the winning team was presented with a trophy. The trophy and awards were presented by Farrukh Ismayilov, Head of AFFA Grassroots Department, and Nail Shukurov, Head of Youth Organizations Department of Azerbaijan Youth Foundation.
