Elkhan Abdullayev, head coach of Azerbaijan Under-19 team, expressed his thoughts to AFFA press service about the training camp in Uzbekistan:
“We are holding our last training camp before the European Championship qualifiers in Malta in November. We will play two friendly matches against Uzbekistan. The opponent is a very strong team. We will test our strength in these matches and see how ready we are for the qualifiers. I have always been a supporter of playing against strong teams. Because then we see our shortcomings and start working on mistakes. Some of our players have been invited to the Under-21 national team. For this reason, we will also give new players a chance in the matches against Uzbekistan. We will try to return from the trip with good results”.
Azerbaijan Under-19 team will play two control matches against Uzbekistan on October 9 and 12 within the training camp.
