The Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA) held an event within the Children's Rights Month at the Penitentiary for Juveniles of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice.
The main goal of the event, organized within the Protection of Children's Rights in Football Project, is to increase the legal awareness of juvenile prisoners, strengthen safe behavior models in them, as well as support their social integration, rehabilitation and positive emotional development through football.
At the event, experts gave lectures to juvenile prisoners, provided information on children's rights, psychological and physical violence, prevention of discrimination, the purpose and principles of the code of conduct, the World Health Organization's recommendations on a safe and physical environment, protection of rights in the football environment, creation of a safe football environment, and ethical rules in football. Interactive discussions were held with juvenile prisoners, and questions of interest to them were answered.
