Azerbaijan played against Sierra Leone in Sumgayit. The match at Sumgayit city stadium named after Mehdi Huseynzada ended in a draw 1-1. Rahil Mammadov scored the goal for Azerbaijan in the 72nd minute. The winner was determined after penalty shootouts. Aykhan Abbasov's team outscored their opponent 9-8 in the decisive shootout and won the tournament. Sierra Leone took second place while St Lucia finished third.
An award ceremony took place after the final game. St Lucia took third place in the tournament and were awarded bronze medals. Sierra Leone finished second and were awarded silver medals. The winner of the FIFA Series 2026 international tournament, Azerbaijan national team, were presented with gold medals and a trophy. Elvin Jafarguliyev, defender of Azerbaijan national team, was awarded as best player of the tournament.
The FIFA Series 2026 Azerbaijan edition award ceremony was attended by AFFA Secretary General Jahangir Farajullayev, AFFA Executive Vice President Sarkhan Hajiyev, Vice President of Sierra Leone Football Association Alie Badara Tarawalie and Vice President of St Lucia Football Association Valdez James.
Note that Azerbaijan national team won a historic 6-1 victory over St Lucia in the first match of the tournament.
