FC Qarabag, Azerbaijan's representative in the UEFA Champions League, played the first-leg match within the play-offs today.
FC Qarabag hosted the English club Newcastle. The match at Tofig Bahramov Republican Stadium ended for the guests 6-1. Elvin Jafarguliyev scored the goal for Qarabag in the 54th minute.
The second-leg match between these teams will take place on February 24 at St. James Park stadium in Newcastle.
