The match at St. James' Park in Newcastle ended for the hosts 3-2. The goals for Qarabag were scored by Camilo Duran in the 51st minute and Elvin Jafarguliyev in the 57th minute. FC Qarabag completed competing in the Champions League since the club lost the first-leg match in Baku 1-6.
