The Girls Futsal Cup organized by AFFA and supported by UEFA among girls under 14 was held in Lankaran.
In the competition held at Lankaran Olympic Sports Complex, 8 teams competed in two groups. The teams that took first two places in the groups faced each other in the play-offs. The team from the secondary school No. 2 won the tournament.
The teams from the secondary school No. 7 and the secondary school No. 4 finished second and third, respectively. Madina Huseynova, a pupil of the secondary school No. 2, was the top-scorer of the tournament with 3 goals.
Nazrin Kazimzada, a pupil of the secondary school No. 4, was named best player, and Rugayya Isayeva, a pupil of the same school, was selected best goalkeeper of the tournament.
The teams that took the first three places were awarded with diplomas and medals, and the winning team with a trophy. The awards were presented by Amina Hasanova, head of AFFA Women's Football Department, Siyasat Askerov, head coach of Azerbaijan Women's National Team, and Gulenbar Gasimova, head coach of the Under-15 (Girls) National Team.
Note that the main goal of the project is to attract new female players to AFFA U-15 Girls League and national teams in the lower age groups in the future. The participating teams were provided with sportswear and equipment by AFFA and UEFA.
