Araz-Nakhchivan, Azerbaijan's representative in the UEFA Futsal Champions League, played the third match within the preliminary stage today. The national futsal champion of Azerbaijan in Group F, faced Austria's Ljuti Krajisnici in the last match.
The match is played at the NMS Sports Hall in Linz, Austria and ended for the Azerbaijani champion 12-3. The goals for Araz-Nakhchivan were scored by Jean Perruzo (7:23), Allex Rezende (10:13, 29:39), Filipe Avila (10:50, 20:34, 30:43 (pen.), 31:44), Ulvi Aliyev (23:15), Luigi Longo (24:24), Giovanni Valerio (30:30) and Gudrat Gasimzada (35:14). One goal of Araz Nakhchivan was fixed as an own goal.
Having defeated Sparta Belfast (Northern Ireland – 9-1) and PYF Saltires (Scotland – 7-2) in the first two rounds, Araz Nakhchivan took first place with 9 points and qualified for the main stage. The main stage matches will take place from October 26 to November 2. Araz-Nakhchivan will play against United Galati (Romania), Differdange (Luxembourg) and Tigers Roermond (Netherlands) in Group 7.
