A media tour was organized at the Hovsan Sports Complex for representatives of the media. More than 30 representatives of mass media outlets took part in the event.
During the media tour, journalists were briefed on the infrastructure of the complex, the construction process, the main objectives of the project, and the ongoing works at the site. AFFA Secretary General’s Advisor Ramazan Samadov accompanied the media representatives around the complex and familiarized them with the football pitches and other infrastructure facilities being developed at the site.
A briefing was held at the end of the tour with the participation of Ramazan Samadov. Journalists’ questions regarding the facilities and capabilities of the Hovsan Sports Complex, the progress of the completion works, and future plans were answered during the briefing.
It should be noted that preparations are currently underway at the Hovsan Sports Complex for the inaugural FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival. The complex has been developed in accordance with FIFA standards and features 10 modern football pitches for matches to be played as part of the tournament.
As part of the FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival, presidents, general secretaries and official delegations of FIFA member associations from around 190 countries, as well as approximately 4,000 young players and members of coaching staff, are expected to visit Azerbaijan.
Following the tournament, the Hovsan Sports Complex is intended to serve as a sports infrastructure facility contributing to the development of Azerbaijani football, particularly youth and grassroots football. The complex is also planned to be used in the preparation processes of national teams across various age groups, football academies and other local teams.
