The FIFA Series tournament will be held in Azerbaijan again. FIFA President Gianni Infantino announced this on his social media account.
You can find Gianni Infantino's post below:
“It brings me great joy to confirm that the first full-scale implementation of the FIFA Series, including a dedicated women’s iteration, will take place during the international match window in March and April 2026.
Building on the success of the pilot edition in March 2024, this offers national teams from different continents a unique platform to compete and connect beyond their traditional confederation boundaries.
The FIFA Series is about unlocking development potential for players, coaches and fans, while promoting football’s universality and diversity through meaningful matches. The 2026 edition will further enhance that impact for men’s and women’s football alike and by connecting nations through competition, we aim to strengthen the game at every level – bringing local communities to the global stage.
The men’s FIFA Series will be hosted in Australia, Azerbaijan, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Mauritius, Puerto Rico, Rwanda and Uzbekistan, while the women’s FIFA Series will debut with events in Brazil, Côte d’Ivoire and Thailand – and other FIFA Member Associations have also expressed their intention to participate as hosts.”
Note that Azerbaijan was one of the hosts the FIFA Series in 2024.
