“We will compete for a better result”

“5 injured players is one of the main reasons for our defeat. We have positions where we experience difficulties due the injured players. Another reason is that the season in the Turkish championship, where many of our players play, ended a while ago. The girls who came from Turkey were content with individual training during this period. The Belarusian team is a high-quality team, most of the players play in Russian top league. The championship continues in both Russia and Belarus. These moments affected the game and the result.”

Siyasat Asgarov was satisfied with the condition of the players called up to the team newly: “We called up new young players to the national team to replace the injured ones. Some of them were playing for the national team for the first time. There were girls who did pretty well during the match. We can add them to the team in the future.”

Head coach also shared his impressions about the second friendly match against the Belarusian Women’s team to be held in Minsk on July 1: “We will analyze the first match and work on our mistakes. It will be important not to repeat them in the second match against Belarus. We will compete for a better result in the second game.”
