Below are the opinions expressed by the coach of our national team, Arif Asadov, and the captain of the team, Emin Mahmudov, at the press conference organized before the Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan match tol be held on June 11 at the "Haladas SportKomplexum" stadium in Szombathely, Hungary, as part of the test match:
Arif Asadov: "We didn't have much time to prepare for the match with Kazakhstan after the game with Albania. We mostly tried to improve the physical and psychological conditions of football players. Starting from today, we will work on the tactics we will use in tomorrow's match. There are some problems within the staff. Joshgun Diniyev and Bahlul Mustafazadeh were injured. We will make a decision about them after today's training. There may be changes in the squad and playing style. We will try to play dominantly, perform while attacking, meet the opponent in their part of the field. We have played with the Kazakhstan team before. The game systems are almost identical. There will be qualifying matches ahead. Until then, we are working towards the formation of the squad."
Emin Mahmudov: "A match with a good opponent is expecting us. The Kazakhstan national team plays well in defense and quickly counter-attacks. They have improved themselves in recent years. We met them two years ago. We want to show the game at the same level and win. In the uniform of our national team, we have to go out to win every match. We want to please our fans with a victory in tomorrow's match as well."
