Today, the AFFA Executive Committee held a meeting in a video conference format. After the discussions, the following decisions were made:
Taking into account the current situation in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic, an agreement should be signed with Gianni De Biasi on the appointment of the head coach of the Azerbaijan national team, if he agrees to the special conditions set by AFFA. Negotiations should be continued to determine other terms of the agreement (by a majority of the votes of the Executive Committee members).
Arif Asadov to be appointed as an assistant head coach.
Note: AFFA's special conditions include taking into account financial risks if international games are postponed due to a pandemic or if there are difficulties with the head coach's visit to Azerbaijan.
