A working meeting involving AFFA Technical Director Edmond Klaus and the heads of academies of Premier League clubs and other football clubs was held at the Radisson Hotel Baku on 27–28 October.
The meeting focused on expanding cooperation between AFFA and football clubs, discussing future plans for the development of youth football, and exchanging views on the implementation of joint projects. The existing challenges facing Azerbaijani football and the characteristic features of local footballers were also discussed.
As part of the meeting an employee of AFFA’s Football Development Department Sakit Rzayev delivered a presentation on methodology and the game model in football.
On the second day of the meeting, the participants watched the Azerbaijan–Chile match held as part of the FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival.
It should be noted that meetings in this format between AFFA and the heads of football club academies are planned to be held three times a year. The next meeting is scheduled to take place in January next year.
