The Futsal Republic Championship among students of high and secondary specialized schools dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Baku State University and organized by the Public Union of Azerbaijan Students Football Federation with the assistance of AFFA, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Youth and Sport in Baku Sports Hall is completed.
The team of Azerbaijan Medical University has won bronze medals of the championship. The team of Azerbaijan State Academy of Physical Education and Sport beat the team of Azerbaijan State University of Economics in a 5: 2 in the final match and became winners of the championship.
The teams that won the first three places, along with diplomas and medals, were awarded 3000, 2000 and 1500 manat respectively. Hazrat Mirsayev (ASUE) was named best goalkeeper, Jabir Aljanli (ASAU) was selected best defender and Elchin Zeynalov (AMU) was chosen best forward. Elvin Guliyev from ASAPES became top scorer of the championship.
AFFA Executive Committee member and president of Students Football Federation Firudin Gurbanov, Vice President of National Olympic Committee Chingiz Huseynzada, deputy Fazil Mustafa, head of ASAPES Fuad Hajiyev, head of ASUE Adalat Muradov, football veterans Samad Gurbanov, Nazim Suleymanov , Ramiz Mammadov and Huseyn Mahammadov presented the awards.
