Azerbaijan Amputee Football Team finished third in the Nations League

The Amputee Football Nations League Division C matches are completed in Baku. Three matches took place on the last day of the tournament organized at Bayil Arena.
Azerbaijan Amputee Football Team finished third in the Nations League
Azerbaijan played two matches. Azerbaijan beat Netherlands in the first match and lost to Ukraine the last match.
Thus, Ukraine won the tournament with 9 points, advanced to Group B of the Nations League. Belgium finished last and was relegated to Group D.
An award ceremony was held after the games. Azerbaijan finished third and was awarded bronze medals. Israel took second place and was awarded silver medals as well Ukraine was awarded gold medals and a trophy.
In addition, Eddie Neggers (Netherlands) was named the best goalkeeper of the tournament, Dmitry Shkekhelsky (Ukraine) was named the best young player, and Sanan Hajiyev (Azerbaijan) was named the best player. Ben Maman (Israel), who scored 3 goals, was the top scorer in Division C.
The awards were presented by AFFA Executive Vice President Sarkhan Hajiyev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency Vugar Suleymanov, President of the European Amputee Football Federation Mateusz Widłak and members of the Executive Committee of this organization.
