Within the Protection of Children's Rights in Football Project, implemented with the support of AFFA, educational seminars are being organized in football clubs and secondary schools in Baku to create a safe, inclusive and child-rights-respecting environment in the football environment.
During February, seminars were organized for football players of Baku Sporting Football Club, as well as students of secondary schools No. 220 and 229 in Baku. The trainings were conducted by the Project mentor and project-based expert of the Ministry of Education, Ofelia Gafarova.
The main goal of the seminars is to protect the rights of children participating in football activities, create a safe sports environment, and raise awareness among coaches, teachers, and young athletes about the principles of safeguarding. During the events, participants were provided with detailed information on children's rights, safe behavior standards, recognition of risky situations, and the correct recourse mechanisms in such situations.
The Project also plans to hold seminars in other schools and football clubs in Baku. This initiative aims to protect the physical and psychological well-being of children, as well as strengthen the culture of safety in the football environment.
