Educational webinars for coaches are continued
Representatives of about 20 clubs participated in the webinar dedicated to the topic of Child Psychology and Motivation. The event was hosted by Sarkhan Huseynov, Head of AFFA Football Development Department, a coach-specialist.
During the session, the topics of the impact of coach behavior on the psychology of the child, intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, self-determination theory, effective communication and feedback were discussed. Participants also exchanged views on the coach's approach when working with children, the correct management of emotional reactions and the creation of a supportive training environment based on a practical scenario.
The additional practical resources are also shared with participants within the framework of the webinar. At the end of the first online meeting, participants were presented with a training session checklist, and a working tool called the Training Session Checklist, which contained useful information on the topic. At the end of the second webinar, a working tool called Coach Mirror was shared with participants, supporting coaches to reflect on their own behavior, communication style and impact on the training environment.
It is planned to hold educational webinars in the field of football education on a regular basis. This initiative, which was initially launched for coaches, is planned to cover other target groups in the next stages.
