FC Sabah, Azerbaijan’s representative in the UEFA Champions League, played the first-leg match within the third qualifying round. The Baku-based club faced the Danish club Aarhus in an away match.
The match took place at Randers Stadium in the city of Randers and ended in a 2-1 win for the hosts. Veljko Simić scored for Sabah in the 67th minute.
Note that the second-leg match between the two teams will take place on August 11 at the Bank Respublika Arena.
