"Live Your Goals" festivals first took place in Germany in 2011 during FIFA Women's World Cup.
The main aims of the festivals are to increase popularity of women's football, to get more girls involved in football, to create conditions for them to play football whenever they want, and to raise interest in women's football in general, at regional level especially.
"Live Your Goals" festivals have been held in Azerbaijan since 2012 and the next festival was held at “Khazar-Lankaran” Central Stadium in Lankaran.
7-14 year-old 79 girls participated in the festival, at which the coach of Azerbaijan U-15 and U-17 girls’ national team Siyasat Asgarov, the goalkeeper of Azerbaijan U-17 girls’ national team Elvira Asgarzada, the former player and Lankaran UGIM Director Fazil Asadov, as well Deputy Director of the Department of Social-Political and Humanitarian Affairs of Lankaran Executive Power Asif Imanli, Deputy Chief of Lankaran City Youth and Sports Department Elbay Fataliyeva and the Southern RFF President Sakin Mammadzada took part.
