Siyasat Asgarov: “Our girls fought until the end”

“Despite the difficult game schedule of the football players, they were well prepared for the match. Although our girls had come from a difficult game and had come a long way, we were able to restore them and tune them in to the game before the match. The result of the match against Hungary affected the team psychologically. At the end of that match, we could have won a point, but unfortunately, we did not manage to do so. This also had a negative impact on the team.

As for today's game, the team was well motivated. We controlled every nuance from the first minute. We acted according to the plan we worked on in the training process and we saw the result. Unfortunately, we conceded a goal after a mistake we made in the defensive line. Nevertheless, I congratulate the team and our girls.

The girls have done really great things this season and last year. I can say about this game that the girls played very well. In the end, we earned a great victory. Unfortunately, although we scored 12 points in the group, we could not advance to the next stage according to the regulations. This makes us very sad. But it is not the end for us. We always look forward. This season has given us very valuable experience, and new players have joined the team. This is one of the most memorable moments for us. Now we have to look ahead. The Nations League draw is coming up. After the draw, we will start preparing for those matches.”
