On October 26, at the Hovsan Competition Complex, the Azerbaijan national team first faced Israel and secured a 3-1 victory. Later in the day, the team took on Haiti, with the match ending in a 4–0 victory for Haiti.
AFFA President Rovshan Najaf attended both of the Azerbaijan national team’s matches that day. He also met with the players and had a friendly conversation with them.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino also visited the Hovsan Competition Complex during the day. He watched several matches, visited the competition pitches, and spoke with players and staff involved in organising the tournament.
