Azerbaijan Under-16 team played the first match within the III CIS Games organized in Azerbaijan.
The Under-16 team in Group A faced the Under-16 team of Tajikistan. Before the match, a minute of silence was observed in memory of Azerbaijani martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of our lands. The match at Gabala city stadium ended for Azerbaijan 1-0. Khazar Huseynzada scored the goal for Azerbaijan in the 29th minute.
Note that Azerbaijan will play the next match in Group on October 1 against Kyrgyzstan.
