The Azerbaijan Beach Soccer Championship was held among Under 10, 14 and 19 players with the organization of AFFA and the Beach Soccer Federation.
Overall 20 teams competed in a beach soccer pitch of “Aquatic Palace”. The tournament for each 3 age group broadcasted live on CBC Sport TV was completed.
Sunami became the winner among Under 10 teams. EFA finished the second, and 8 – YSSSOR the third. Bayram Guliyev (Sunami) was chosen the best goalkeeper, while Vagif Mammadli (8 – YSSSOR) the best player. David Abilov (Ganjlik) was awarded as the top scorer of the tournament.
EFA became the champion among Under 14 teams. Tahsil and Asta took the second and third places respectively.
Khayal Dadashov (EFA) became the top scorer. Amir Garibov (EFA) was chosen the best goalkeeper, and Nijat Heydarov (Tahsil) the best player.
The winner of Under 19 teams was “Idman Akademiyasi”. EFA losing the final game finished the second, and Soliton the third.
An awarding ceremony was held at the end. The teams were awarded with medals, diplomas and special gifts from the partner companies “Soliton” and “Saglam Dis” dental clinic.
Farid Novruzi, the Beach Soccer Federation President; Farid Akhundov, Vice-President; Zeynal Zeynalov, head coach of beach soccer national team; and Ilgar Abdulov, an assistant coach presented the awards.
Note, there will be held Super League among adult players in “Aquatic Place” during June 17-23. “Standart”, “Yasamal” SC, “Shusha Qarabag”, “Neftchi”, “Zira” and “Marafon Sabirabad” teams will take part in the competition. The matches will be held at 17:30, at 18:45 and at 20:00 every day.
