Azerbaijan Women's national team played the fourth match within the 2027 FIFA World Cup European qualifiers.
Azerbaijan in Group C3 of League C faced Andorra. The players took to the field with children with autism at the joint initiative of the Umid var Inclusive Creative Union and AFFA. The main goal of this step is to promote inclusion in society and raise awareness about autism. The match at Bank Respublika Arena in Baku ended for Siyasat Askerov’s team 2-0. The goals for Azerbaijan were scored by Yeliz Açar in the 12th minute and Esra Manya in the 64th minute.
In the other match of the group, Hungary won 7-0 at home against North Macedonia.
After these results, Hungary is a top team in Group with 10 points, Azerbaijan is in second place with 9 points, North Macedonia is in third place with 3 points, and Andorra is in fourth place with 1 point.
Note that Azerbaijan Women’s national team will play the next match against Hungary on June 5 at Sumgayit city stadium named after Mehdi Huseynzada.
