A sponsorship agreement was signed between AFFA and Rabitabank OJSC.
AFFA President Rovnag Abdullayev and Chairman of the Management Board of Rabitabank OJSC Aydin Huseynov signed the agreement.
According to the sponsorship agreement, the name and logo of Rabitabank, a new member of the football family, will be displayed on the uniforms of the professional referees who will be appointed to Azerbaijan Premier League games.
President of AFFA R.Abdullayev spoke during the event and said that it is gratifying that reputable companies are showing interest in the football family of Azerbaijan. He thanked the management of Rabitabank for their attention and cooperation to the country's football. Speaking about the football referees in Azerbaijan, R.Abdullayev said that the decision made by our compatriot Tofig Bahramov during the final match of the 1966 FIFA World Cup in England is still remembered as an unforgettable moment of the world football community. Stating that the tradition of the Azerbaijan refereeing school continues, the president of AFFA pointed out that thanks to the new cooperation with Rabitabank, steps will be taken in the direction of training young referees.
Chairman of the Management Board of Rabitabank OJSC Aydin Huseynov said that football is a popular sport in the world as well in our country. Appreciating the work done in the direction of the development of the football in Azerbaijan, A. Huseynov noted that they feel satisfied to invest in football as a bank within the framework of social responsibility.
