In accordance with AFFA Children's Football Development Strategy, the academies of the clubs in Baku were inspected as part of the Academy Development Needs Analysis and Support process. Within the project, the current status, teaching methodology and infrastructure capabilities of Sabah, Qarabag and Neftchi academies were closely monitored.
As a result of the meetings, it is expected that in the near future, innovations will be introduced in the activities of the academies in the following areas:
- Full adaptation of existing training processes to international standards and transition to player-oriented development methodologies;
- Ensuring methodological consistency of the transition stages from junior age groups to the main team;
- Building the transition process from the academy to the professional football player stage on the basis of more systematic and measurable criteria;
- Clarifying the division of roles in the academies and introducing new structural approaches for more effective use of personnel potential.
The large-scale analyses conducted will form the basis of the new Academy Standards that will be implemented in the near future.
