A celebration event on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of AFFA, December 31 - Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis and the New Year, was organized.
President of AFFA Rovnag Abdullayev, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Mariana Vasileva, Vice-president of the National Olympic Committee Chingiz Huseynzadeh, AFFA staff, representatives of direct and indirect members of the association, representatives of the football community participated in the event.
The event began with the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the memory of our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the freedom, territorial integrity and sovereignty of our Motherland was commemorated with a minute of silence.
President of AFFA, Rovnag Abdullayev, addressed the participants of the event and congratulated them on the occasion of the 30th anniversary and the upcoming holidays.
The Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Mariana Vasileva, and the Head of the Ministry's Sports Department, Elnur Mammadov, presented the appropriate certificates to the AFFA employees who recently were awarded the honorary title of "Honored Physical Education and Sports Worker of the Republic of Azerbaijan".
The vice-president of the National Olympic Committee, Chingiz Huseynzadeh, expressed his congratulations on the occasion of the anniversary and spoke about the consistent victories of our national team in recent games.
Then AFFA Vice President, FIFA Director for European National Associations Elkhan Mammadov delivered FIFA's congratulatory letter on the occasion of the 30th anniversary to the event participants, and presented the official ball of the World Cup held in Qatar this year to AFFA President Rovnag Abdullayev.
AFFA General Secretary Sarkhan Hajiyev spoke in the end and thanked each participant for attending the event, congratulated AFFA on its 30th anniversary, December 31 - Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis and the New Year.
