Azerbaijan futsal national team qualified for the World Cup Finals for the first time in its history.
Azerbaijan met Netherlands for the play-off round second-leg match at Baku Sports Palace. The match ended in 4:4. The first-leg match held in Almere, Netherlands on 22 March, ended in the 5:1 victory of Azerbaijan and the draw in the second-leg match formalized the team to qualify for the next round.
Before the game AFFA General Secretary Elkhan Mammadov and Azerbaijan Futsal Federation President Zaur Akhundov presented the team's uniform to Rajab Farajzada, who played his last match for the national team.
Note the World Cup will be held in Columbia from 14 September to 2 October this year.
