Azerbaijan vs Greece: Coaches’ views
Jose Alesio Da Silva (head coach, Azerbaijan): “Congratulations to my team on our victory and qualifying for the finals. We have been training and playing games for about two months. The team was just starting to show the game I wanted. Of course, I thank AFFA and the Futsal Federation for helping us in the current difficult situation. After a long break, we trained hard and gradually began to recover. Although we can do our job, we have to work hard. The UEFA Futsal EURO 2022 Finals will be very difficult. Stronger teams qualified there. I hope that the pandemic will end soon and we will train comfortably”.

John Ziavas (head coach, Greece): “We knew that Azerbaijani futsal team is a strong team. Because the squad of this team includes talented futsal players who are distinguished for their individual game qualities. We also tried to play our own game, so that fans could watch well-groomed futsal on the field. We did our best. Of course, such games were important for us to gain experience. We wish success to the Azerbaijan in the UEFA Futsal EURO 2022 Finals”.
