Within the Protection of Children's Rights in Football Project, implemented with the support of AFFA, educational seminars are being organized at football clubs in Baku to create a safe, inclusive, and child-rights-respecting environment in the football environment.
Seminars were held for football players from clubs Sumgayit, Qarabag, Sabail and Difai during this month. In total, more than 100 young players participated in the seminars. The classes were conducted by the project mentor and project-based expert of the Ministry of Education, Ofelia Gafarova.
The main goal of organizing the seminars is to protect the rights of children participating in football activities, create a safe sports environment, and raise awareness among coaches, teachers, and young athletes about the principles of "safeguarding." During the events, participants were provided with detailed information on children's rights, safe behavior standards, recognition of risky situations, and the correct recourse mechanisms in such situations.
The project also plans to hold seminars in other schools and football clubs in Baku. This initiative aims to protect the physical and psychological well-being of children, as well as strengthen the culture of safety in the football environment.
