FC Sabah, Azerbaijan's representative in the UEFA Europa League, played the first match in the first qualifying round.
FC Sabah hosted the Slovenian team Celje. The match took place at the Bank Respublika Arena and ended for the visiting team 3-2. Pavol Shafranko scored for FC Sabah in the 3rd and 18th minutes with the penalty.
The second-leg match between the teams will take place on July 17 in Celje.
